Best Sunday Pool Parties in Miami 2026 — Where to End the Weekend Right
Sunday gets slept on. Most people book flights home Sunday morning, check out of their hotels, and call it a weekend. That's exactly why Sunday pool parties in Miami hit differently — because the tourists thin out and the real crowd shows up.
Sunday Has a Different Energy — and That's the Point
There's something that happens around 2 PM on a Sunday at a Miami pool party. The bachelor groups are gone. The bachelorette sashes have been packed away. What's left is a crowd that actually knows the DJ, actually wants to be there, and isn't rushing to catch a Spirit flight to Newark. I've been to hundreds of pool parties across South Beach and Miami Beach, and I'll say it plainly: Sunday is my favorite day.
The vibe is looser. The music tends to go deeper — less Top 40 peak-hour stuff, more extended sets, more personality from the DJ booth. Bartenders are in a better mood. Lines are shorter. If you've been grinding through a Friday-Saturday weekend and you think you're tapped out, trust me — give Sunday a shot. You'll either find your second wind or realize you never needed the first two days at all.
Strawberry Moon — The Sunday Flagship
Strawberry Moon at the Goodtime Hotel is the go-to for Sunday on Miami Beach. The venue sits on Washington Ave and has become the clear heir to what Hyde Beach used to be — upscale, fashion-forward, great sound system, and a pool that actually looks good in photos. On Sundays they typically run their daytime programming through the late afternoon, which means you can roll in at noon and still be dancing at 6 PM when golden hour hits the water.
The crowd on Sunday at Strawberry Moon tends to skew local or extended-stay — people who are in Miami for more than a weekend, who care about what they're wearing, who actually dance. Cabanas are more attainable than on Saturday (though you still want to book in advance), and the guest list tends to move faster. If you're doing one day at the pool, Sunday here is the call.
National Hotel — For When You Want Chill Over Chaos
The National Hotel pool on Collins Ave is a different animal. That historic pool — one of the longest on the beach — draws a crowd that's less interested in getting their photo taken and more interested in actually relaxing. Sundays here have a low-key sophistication to them. The music is good but not overwhelming. You can actually hold a conversation. The service is attentive without being aggressive.
Honestly, if you're coming off a heavy Saturday and want pool time without the pressure of a full production event, National Hotel Sunday is underrated. It's the kind of place where you show up, get a lounger, order a few rounds, and lose track of time in the best possible way.
DAER Dayclub — Worth the Drive for Big Sundays
DAER at Hard Rock Hollywood is technically not Miami Beach — it's about 20 minutes north on I-95 in Broward — but on certain Sundays it absolutely belongs in this conversation. When DAER books a major headliner for a Sunday, the scale of that venue makes the drive worth it. We're talking massive LED production, thousands of people, an energy level that most South Beach pools can't match in terms of pure spectacle.
Regular Sundays at DAER tend to be quieter though. If they don't have a marquee name on the lineup, save the trip and stay on the beach. Check their calendar before you commit to the drive.
Sunday During MMW Is the Biggest Pool Party Day of the Year
This deserves its own section. Miami Music Week 2026 runs March 23–29, and that final Sunday — March 29 — is not a normal Sunday. It is the single biggest pool party day of the entire year in Miami. Ultra Music Festival weekend is winding down, every major artist is still in town, and the energy is absolutely unhinged in the best way.
I've seen Sundays during MMW week where the pool parties didn't end until 10 PM. Where DJs who are headlining arenas that night stop by for an unannounced set at the pool first. Where every major venue in South Beach is at capacity by noon and the lines wrap around the block by 11 AM. It is a different category of event.
If you're planning to be in Miami for MMW, plan your Sunday in advance. Guest lists fill up days before. Cabanas get booked weeks out. This is not a walk-up situation. Check our Miami Music Week guide for exactly what to expect and how to plan it.
Practical Sunday Tips From Someone Who's Lived It
Don't sleep in. The instinct after a Saturday night is to roll in at 3 PM when you finally feel human again. But Sunday pool parties in Miami tend to peak earlier than Saturday — crowd is there by noon, energy is usually best between 1 and 4 PM. By the time you show up at 3:30, the best cabanas are taken and the lines have already built. Aim for noon to 1 PM arrival and you'll have a completely different experience than the person who shows up at 3.
Also: parking in South Beach on a Sunday afternoon is a nightmare. Use Uber or Lyft. The drive-around-for-20-minutes approach will genuinely cost you more in time and frustration than the rideshare. Learn it once.
